Nomadic Concepts – Art by Julia Shahin Collard

Julia Shahin Collard

Artist Statement

For those of us lucky enough to have experienced the magic of childhood, there can be a yearning even into adulthood to bring that sense of wonder back into the present moment. It with that desire that I approach my art.

I work in mixed media first drawing by hand, adding color and texture before I scan the art into my computer and tweak and paint digitally.

While in this current season of my life, most of my time has been spent running a household with two young children, I’ve been pursuing a career in art for over 15 years and intend to continue with it for as long as I am able. Creating art is an integral part of filling my cup and necessary part of my life.
